BUH Bag Initiative and USD 1000 donation per year

A big Thank You to Kim & Lone Roslev for starting this great initiative in 2018. The initiative encourages guides to ”Bring Ugly Home” while out on game drives – this is to bring all garbage from the conservancy to camp because all garbage originates from humans. The garbage brought to camp is weighed and the guide whose garbage collected leads in kilograms gets USD 500 at the end of year. There is also an environmental team that ensures garbage is collected once a week and number 1 and 2 gets USD 150 and USD 100 respectively. The balance goes toward environmental initiative, which is donating trees to Mara United school and Mara Rianta primary school.
